Tristan Corbière is a great reader of Alfred de Musset’s poetry, that he quotes and sometimes even parodies. This presence is not always easy to identify with certainty, for both poets share common literary references. Parodies Corbière made of Musset led researchers to perceive him only as a target, although regarding irony, Musset is also one of Corbière’s models. Musset’s name is often used all along Les Amours jaunes, because of the comic poet connotation it carries. This inspiration doesn’t prevent Corbière from using the master’s tools against him.
