Corbière’s poetry stands out as a pose which is presented as natural by the use of several literary devices. This approach is particularly noticeable in « À un Juvénal de lait » where one can hear the confrontation of two a priori contradictory voices, while seeing two symbolically opposed colours intermingle. Between lyricism and irony, between the green paradise of childhood love and the yellow bile of the enraged colourist, how to find one’s way? If Corbière restlessly poses with his disenchanted verses and his multiplied figures, it would be doubtlessly to plangorer with impunity.
