“This ink-drinking paper is intolerable” Francis Ponge and Jean Tardieu’s wartime correspondence, 1941–1944

In this article, Delphine Hautois examines the epistolary exchanges between Ponge and Tardieu during the Second World War. This correspondence is an opportunity to study the close link between writerly concerns and emotional ties, as well as the importance, for both writers, of tokens of recognition and economic issues, sensitive matters for both of them during this period.
