A Narrative Without Borders To Tell of The Huguenot Migration The Story of the Persecutions that Blanche Gamond Endured for the Cause of the Gospel (late 1688)

The Récit des persécutions was written at the request of the minister François Murat, who had fled to Geneva. Until now, critics have focused their attention on Blanche Gamond as a martyr of her faith. This article looks at the composition of the narrative. It examines the components of this text, their function in the whole and the construction of the image of the holy martyr. By way of conclusion, some hypotheses are put forward concerning the writing and production process.
