Quod omnes similiter tangit ab omnibus comprobetur Assemblies under the Reign of Philip III the Bold (1270-1285)

The assemblies which had to take the decisions which affect the whole kingdom are systematized under Philip III the Bold’s reign. They rely upon the quod omnes tangit from Codex Justinianeus. The magnates’ consent allows ensuring the decisions’ applications. They are dramatized to underline the kingdom’s deep unity. In this way, they contribute to create the idea of a kingdom as a constituted political body and herald the great assemblies gathered by Philip IV the Fair in the 1300s.
