Love writing in the first French translation of Guido delle Colonne’s Historia destuctionis Troiae

Around 1380 at the court of France, the first anonymous French prose translator of the Historia destructionis Troiae of Guido delle Colonne tries to literally translate its source into a sometimes outrageous writing that arouses suspicions of a biased discourse. The study of love rhetoric makes it possible to grasp the degree of complicity between the author and his readers and then to determine the distance between yesterday’s and today’s reception and its stakes.
