  • Abstract: The Roman de Perceforest contains nearly seventy poems: narrative lais, ballads, rondeaux, texts in rimes plates, etc. The Hélinand stanza is represented among these forms, with three occurrences along with strophic formulas that are related to it. The article presents their place in the poetic repertoire of the roman. The overview of the poetic forms used suggests that the author wanted to present the evolution of poetry from archaic forms to the most popular ones in use in the fourteenth century.
