Alain Cuny and L'Annonce faite à Marie From performer to director

Alain Cuny (1908-1994) was an unclassifiable actor who distinguished himself both in the theater and in the cinema. The play L'Annonce faite à Marie by Paul Claudel, which he discovered in the early 1940s and in which he played the character of the architect Pierre de Craon on several occasions, accompanied and inhabited him throughout his life to the point that he made a film of it, released in December 1991. Faced with many obstacles (especially financial), Cuny took almost thirty years to complete this project.
