In May 1936 Paul Claudel has written a short paper : "My opinion on the Croix-de-feu" intended for the movement's newspaper, Le Flambeau. Based on unpublished archives, the article explains the circumstances in which the paper was written, the reasons why it was never published and reviews the author's relations with La Rocque and his Croix-de-feu.
