Marcel Schwob and Paul Claudel, a singular friendship

Marcel Schwob stands out for his enthusiasm for the first dramas of his former fellow student, his generosity, his fervour in praising the power of his theatre. Although discontinuous and limited to about ten years, their friendship inspired to Claudel beautiful letters, transcribed for the first time in their entirety, and to expressions of admiration on the part of Schwob that the poet will long remember.
