Claudel spends the summer at the Lutaine Castle he rented for welcoming his family. It gives him the opportunity to discover the heart of the Old France he dreamed of when he was in Japan. Churches and castles of the Val-de-Loire sharpen his knowledge in architecture and feed the four Conversations en Loir-et-Cher, that he will draw from his stay.
