Bataille is not a philosopher, as he seems to be closer to Aristide than Aristotle. His eroticism dos not open into a fusion but it is rather the unavowable enigma. The latter, however, has nothing to do with community defined as such by Blanchot, even though it is the community of lovers. The truth of Bataille, speaking out through his awkward language now pornographic, now obscene, cannot be associated with any form of eroticism.
