It might seem unexpected to bring together Palsson, an Icelandic poet very attached to France and Mikaël Hautchamp, whose poetic, deep and original work deserves to be highlighted. They are united in this article under the sign of Sirens, not sirens-fishes but sirens-birds as they appear in the Odysseus. From Palsson’s Sentiers de poésie (1982) to Hautchamp's Vol des oiseaux filles (2019), it is the first myth that is represented.
