    . L’usage du roman-photo
  • Author: Nachtergael (Magali)
  • Abstract: The photo-novel is a popular genre, denigrated, parodied, and yet widely diffused since officially appearing in post-war Italy. While the photo-literary récit-photo enjoys academic recognition, the photo-novel has been relegated due to its target readership, women. It has nevertheless inspired a generation of artists who use it to ironically reimagine life’s episodes, in books or online.
