Abstract: This article is intended as a study of the process of terminological neologisms elaboration by the French Dispositif d’enrichissement de la langue (language planning body organized in a network including various partners as specialists, linguists…). It examines how a sample of profession names enlightens about the origin of the terms – proposed by the experts of the Dispositif or by the public –, their nature, their diversity, and the criteria applied by the Dispositif to create them.
