  • Abstract: Maxime Du Camp is one of those writers whose fictional work blurs the boundaries between fiction and reality. This articulation between two a priori dichotomous modalities of expression is redefined in his aesthetic project as a novel way of telling a story. In order to realize his enterprise, he elaborates in the peritext of his short fiction a constant and coherent process of delegation of the narrative path which turns the writer into a simple secretary of memory.
