Abstract: This volume focuses on the humor of the liminal and of “interlanguage,” which is notably associated with post-colonial literature, world literature, and migrant literature. It assembles contributions on Fouad Laroui’s biculturalism and bilingualism and on the relationship between humor, self-deprecation, and interlanguage. It also explores the question of humor in the choice of narrative strategy and in the narrative and textual construction of a particular imaginary and set of rules.
