Abstract: This essay examines the blog Soeuf Elbadawi and other Comoran authors write for Muzdalifa House, a cultural center headed by Elbadawi in Moroni, and analyzes echoes between the blog and Elbadawi’s works. Elbadawi stands against any form of separation between Mayotte (an integral part of France since 2011) and the Union of the Comoros, and points to tragedies caused by this separation, among them the death of thousands of migrants between Anjouan and Mayotte.
