Abstract: This paper analyses the style of three texts written by Axel Gauvin, Mohamed Toihiri et Lomami Tchibamba. It deals with the essential question of the quest for identity and the search for freedom by paying a stylistic attention to hyperboles and enumerations in novels which have touched one or many aspects of colonization.
