Abstract: This article discusses the phenomenon of chaining by means of lexical units which serve as predicative markers. Starting from the hypothesis that each type of discourse has its own markers, we will show how these predicates participate in the semantic structuring of a lexicographical article. Through predicative analysis, we will study the role of these markers which participate in but goes beyond the structuring organization of an utterance as an encompassing predicative unity.
