Abstract: We first explain the role of an electronic dictionary in an intelligent dialogue system implemented in social robots. We specify also the linguistic modeling that underlies the mode of organization of the dictionary. Then we establish how the grammatical descriptions of the dictionary contribute to the functioning of the system. We discuss more particularly the syntactic properties of the predicative lexicon.
