Abstract: This article deals with analyses of the word democracy in the lexicography from a synchronic point of view, in order to understand which is the contribution of the dictionaries, and above all of the collocations dictionaries, to the combinatory words. The goal here is that to demonstrate the need to integrate the collocations into microstructure of monolingual general dictionaries.
