Abstract: Through literary reminiscences or social constructions, the present article explores the heterotopical qualities of the bicycle as an instrument that opens both to the outer and inner worlds: a space out of time. Experiencing the body in this cycling counterspace elicits a specific type of writing, but also an art of thinking oneself which magically turns the bicycle into a typewriter.
