Abstract: The journal Grenier de Toulouse allows us to question the identity of its eponym: the CDN Grenier de Toulouse. This identity interlinks troupes permanentes and Maisons de la Culture. How could a CDN define itself? Is it a company? Is it a theatre? Is it a creative community? We examine Grenier de Toulouse between 1964 and 1969, when the journal supported the company’s activities in Theatre Daniel Sorano, and between 1970 and 1975, when the company settled rue de la Digue.
