Abstract: The series Narcos depicts the history of drug trafficking in Latin America, specifically cocaine trafficking between Colombia and the United States. By using real and created archival footage to provide historical facts and figures of the American continents, its images serve as a moral caution to avoid glorifying gangsters. However, they also contribute to rewriting history, nourishing thus a problematic confusion both ethically and politically.
