Abstract: The article first of all intends to take a stand against the theses that are based on a linguistic conception of metaphor as a deviation from the norm. In order to reveal the potentialities of the source text, translation must be based on a reading of semantic forms that does not atrophy metaphoricity and relies on a whole path of meaning that unfolds from a true phenomenology of perception.
