. Le Paris de Jean Giraudoux
  • Author: Almeida (Pierre d')
  • Abstract: Giraudoux was “born for Paris” at the age of eighteen. He first lived in the Latin Quarter, then in 1908 moved just a stone’s throw away to an apartment near the Odéon. After the First World War, he moved with Suzanne to the boundary between the 6th and 7th arrondissements, before settling in 89 Quai d’Orsay in 1933, near his ministry. This migration towards the west marked his social ascension; but during the war, and until shortly before his death, he lodged in hotels in the center of Paris.
