Abstract: This article provides a synthesis of the available bio-bibliographical data on a little-known figure in French literature of the mid-sixteenth century: Pierre de Mondoré, mathematician, royal librarian and neo-Latin poet. Sympathetic to the Reformed cause, he could be the author of the pamphlet Poltrotus Meraeus (1567), directed against the Guise family. The article is completed by a bibliography of his printed and manuscript works as well as a translation-edition of the Poltrotus.
