Abstract: Claudel has written many texts about inspiration. That question would need a detailed examination from the bilbical comments and exegesis. André espiau de la Maestre has carried out such a project in his Paul Claudel bibliste et ses prophètes (Paris, 1993). Those pages read some pages of Claudel’s Art poétique, which define some traits of the claudelian inspiration. That conception is compared with the inspiration defined by three french modern poets, René Char, André Frénaud, Jacques Réda.
