The conquest of fiction J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter

The romanesque is assimilated here to a double conquest of fiction: of the experiential framework of fiction and of the faculty of imagination. These two conquests are very often present, at a more or less metaphorical level, in contemporary children’s fiction. An epistemology of the theories of the romanesque, and the example of the Harry Potter novels, allow us to better grasp this definition of the romanesque as that which leads to an explicit functional reception of fiction.
