Fantasmes, possession et métamorphoses L’éros-animal chez Claude Louis-Combet

Claude Louis-Combet’s tales abound in animal figures and are also, given the sexual vigour with which the animal is endowed, tales of the animalisation of the human body, in particular the female. These tales reanimate the mythical copulations of female and animal through the very movement of writing, which comes close to the act of bullfighting as defined by Leiris. Yet copulation is above all an inner fusion with the animal, a metamorphosis of the woman herself in all its transgressive power.
