Our concern is to connect ecology and poetics. This is a radical program, announced here by a portmanteau word: “eco-poet-(e)thics.” How are we to resist the regime of the Cultural, which swallows up the legacy of works in the globalized economy of “creative destruction” (Schumpeter)—and the threatened departure of language? Through which poetics can this be achieved? Through one that transforms in order to preserve, at the costs of recantation, or through a destitution/profanation which reinterprets Romantic spirituality?
