« J’ai un livre en désir » Les chemins proustiens de l’Œuvre à faire dans La Préparation du roman de Roland Barthes

This article analyzes the role played by Marcel Proust and his work in La Préparation du roman, Roland Barthes’ last course at the Collège de France. This course was an opportunity for Barthes to reflect on the theme of the new life—vita nova—whose possibility lies in the exploration of another form of writing: a long writing format, after overcoming discontinuity, whose horizon is novelistic. In this dual ethical and aesthetic task, Proust will serve as a guide.
