Even more than with the literary texts which she reads, re-reads and memorizes, Mme de Sévigné establishes a close relationship with Biblical and liturgical texts which she hears, recites and perhaps meditates all year long, and which nurture her idiolect. This relationship does not prevent her from playing freely with those texts, which can also help her express her love. In the second part of her Correspondence, however, those references are used more literally, and even offer writing patterns.
