Les Trepperel de la rue Neuve-Notre-Dame à Paris

  • Publication type: Article from a collective work
  • Collective work: Raconter en prose. xive-xvie siècle
  • Author: Rambaud (Stéphanie)
  • Abstract: At the beginning of the 16th century, the Trepperel were established in the Neuve-Notre-Dame street, a high place for the book trade. A study on the printed work derived from Saint-Maure’s Roman de Troie, published both by the Trepperel and the Le Noir, shows that neighbourhood and family ties do not hamper the editing work done by each printer and bookseller in his workshop. Therefore, material bibliography is a discipline that must not be neglected to study the Parisian editorial policies during the 16th century.
