  • Abstract: Was the preacher Jean Gerson a dramatist ? A new critical edition of the Jeu du Cœur et des cinq sens écoliers puts a new light on the question. This play contains one of his most popular sermon, the Tu Discipulus. Probably designed for school public and actors, the play is an exceptional source of information on the connections between preaching and playing at the beginning of the xvth century. To broadcast his instruction in order to reform the society, Gerson uses school drama. The text shows how sermon and drama complete each other and can be analyzed as Early Modern intermediality.
