How can we verify the legitimacy of a “thematic analysis”? The question appears complex when it comes to the Rimbaldian corpus, where many texts seem so obscure that the trace of an explicit thematic thread is neither guaranteed nor necessarily identifiable. The present article seeks to put an “auctorial poetic” postulate (founded on the genetic processes that give rise to a corpus) to work where the Rimbaldian theme of “happiness” is concerned.
