  • Abstract: Jan Karski by Yannick Haenel, which focuses on the historical figure of a controversial witness of the Holocaust, asks how, witness or not, we manage to speak about the extermination of the Jews. To respond, the author constructs an imaginary of nobility, the latter understood as dignity maintained in violence. This imaginary haunts his universe, establishing a particular authorial posture which implies a risk, willingly taken.
