Le désir d’être écrit

  • Abstract: The futuristic novels, La Possibilité d’une île (2005) and La Théorie de l’information (2012), are inspired by two algorithmic structures : incrementation of the n+1 type in Michel Houellebecq’s work, and the structure of feedback loops in Aurélien Bellanger's work. After studying the necessary relation of influence between the two texts, this chapter points out the constant aspects of a sphere of imagination that rethinks the limits of the concept of humanity, based on a teleological conception of writing and its mythologies.
