Houellebecq lu en Russie

  • Publication type: Article from a collective work
  • Collective work: Lectures croisées de l’œuvre de Michel Houellebecq
  • Author: Sheypak (Svetlana)
  • Abstract: The article analyzes the reception of Michel Houellebecq's novels in Russia through the reader comments, critical articles and academic researches. The opinions of readers and critics reveal certain points of disagreement. If Atomised has deserved a deep analysis, though sometimes contradictory, interpretations of The Map and the Territory by readers and by critics are often superficial which can be explained by the lack of academic researches on Houellebecq’s work in Russia.
