  • Publication type: Article from a collective work
  • Abstract: This contribution distinguishes three characteristics of the sense of justice : a sense of fair play, a figure of practical reason, similar to the Kantian good will transposed into the domain of social bonds, and, finally, an affect derived from self-love, associated with love, friendship, and confidence, in the vein of Rousseau. This article shows why the “Rousseau-Kantian” synthesis elaborated by Rawls is a fragile hybrid.
