Marie-Antoinette : manipulations, modélisations et médiatisations

  • Publication type: Article from a collective work

  • Abstract: Even nowadays, Marie-Antoinette is a symbol used to stigmatise two types of people: the rich who have lost touch with everyday reality and, particularly in France, women who dare to enter the political sphere. Obviously this is not the historical character, but a figure of fantasy. Marie-Antoinette is thus both the most famous though possibly the least well-known of all the queens of France.
