Albert Camus présente Jacques Cormery
Un orphelin de la Grande Guerre

  • Publication type: Article from a collective work
  • Collective work: La Grande Guerre des écrivains : études
  • Author: Rufat (Hélène)
  • Abstract: Albert Camus, the “pupil of the nation”, only evoked the Great War and its repercussions in an unfinished work, Le Premier Homme. Deeply associated, both symbolically and emotionally, with the image of the father, it profoundly shaped his ideas about justice and peace and the duty to combat inhumanity. He learned this ethical code from his teachers, masculine figures responsible for transmitting these values.
