Starting from the concept of truculence, this essay identify a poetics which is deployed in the work of Koffi Kwahulé in four main ways: through crossings, subversion, “marronnage” (or detours), and musical vibrations that leads the viewer-reader to a thought beyond the beaten path by appealing to our emotional resonance.
