The second novel of Koffi Kwahulé, Monsieur Ki, is a staging of literature in its many shapes. Reading the will of a man who has committed suicide, which is the main subject of this novel’s rhapsodic prose, actually serves as a pretext for the author’s rehearsing of the many African styles of writing that have marked the history of literature.
