This essay proposes a parallel of poetic encounters with insects (fictional or non-fictional), and of the ecological knowledge that they conceal, such as literature collects them from the 20th century to our days. Even more so with the extinction that threatens many species in the meantime, their singular modes of appearance engage a sensitive phenomenology, which glimpses the signs emitted by the beasts whose side it takes, reconfiguring the debate on anthropomorphism.
