The Balzac Review aims to open new critical perspectives in Balzac studies. As an annual, bilingual review, it provides a resolutely international approach.

REVIEW PROCEDURE
All texts received by The Balzac Review/Revue Balzac are subject to a double-blind peer review process. The reviewers are chosen based on their specialism. In the case of a significant divergence of opinion between the two experts, the editorial board reserves the possibility of requesting a third review.
CODE OF ETHICS
The journal respects the ethical standards adopted by the publisher: https://classiques-garnier.com/normes-ethiques.html. These standards conform to internationally accepted guidelines for scientific publishing.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR AUTHORS
Articles (in English or in French)—which cannot have been previously published—must be accompanied by:
1) an abstract in French, of a maximum of 500 characters (including spaces);
2) five keywords.
Each issue includes a thematic special report and a section reserved for unsolicited proposals (Varia).
Calls for papers for special reports are published on websites that specialize in literature (Fabula, Société des études romantiques et dix-neuviémistes, Calenda, Nineteenth-Century Studies Association, Society for French Studies, etc.).
