In the stream of Alain Rey's, this paper aims to describe some effects of borrowing words from a language to another. Some manuscripts relatively unknown from Saussure are summoned up as introduction. The word apartheid cannot be used easily without his connotations. These types of words are heavily loaded with history and cannot be transposed as such, far from the context or the situation they represent.
