Maurice de Guérin found in Charles Du Bos fraternal posthumous influences: the same interest in the spiritual, the imaginary, writing, introspection; the same obsessive questions about the unity, the dispersion of the self; the same way of escaping the cathedral work through small blocks of prose or fragments. This parallel relationship allows us to follow the interpretative variations of Guérin in Du Bos and vice versa. Here we address this specular and exegetical function.
