Photographs from digitized archival collections circulate as their owners publish them on the web. Amateurs or professionals reuse them in sites relating the memory or history of certain events. The manipulations and changes of context that they undergo during these re-editions raise the question of their integrity and reliability. Based on numerous examples from the web, this article draws up a typology of the alterations and falsifications that can be found there. It proposes to organize a checking of archive images, as it exists for news images.
